The Situation…

The area around Fayetteville, NC is close to Ft. Bragg, Pope Airfield, Raleigh, Charlotte, multiple PMI Chapters, and numerous project management opportunities for the transitioning Service Members, Veterans, and Retirees (“Veterans”) in this community!

In addition to Ft. Bragg, “one of the U.S. Army's largest installations in the world, [covering] about 161,000 acres, or 251 square miles, stretching into six counties, [and home to] more than 55,000 military service members and about 12,000 civilian personnel work at Fort Bragg” (www.bragg.army.mil, 2017), thousands of project management jobs, and multiple PMI Chapters such as PMI Metrolina, PMI Piedmont Triad, and NC PMI create a robust ecosystem supporting the profession of project management.

Right now, Abbott Laboratories, Centerra Group, Columbia Regional Healthcare, Cummins, DaVinciTek, GlaxoSmithKline, General Dynamics, Leidos, Lockheed Martin, ProCon Consulting, SAIC, SciQuest, Sotera Defense, Synovus Financial, University of North Carolina, Xerox, and others are seeking thousands of experienced, PMP-qualified project managers, with starting annual salaries averaging about $80,613.00 USD and ranging from $55K-$1201K USD!

If you are a transitioning Warrior in central part of North Carolina, this is amazing news for you!

That’s because many Veterans have a significant amount of project management experience, talent, and conditioning, you just have to translate it into commercially-viable, highly-valuable project management experience to manage projects in these world-class organizations.

The Solution!

Vets2PM will be holding its Project Management Professional (PMP®) Boot Camp Program in Sanford, NC 20 through 24 March 2017 to help Veterans do just that!

During our week-long Project Management Professional (PMP®) Boot Camp Program, we will show Veterans how to turn their military experience, knowledge, skills, and talents into commercially-viable, highly-valuable project management experience! This will allow them to complete their PMI PMP applications, enhance their resumes and LinkedIn profiles, and produce solid, shiny soundbites for their project management interviews.

Additionally, we will train them how to use the PMBOK® Guide to manage civilian projects and pass the PMP®/CAPM® exam on it; all while using examples parallel between the military and civilian project environments and live hands-on table-top exercises!

Furthermore, each Veteran will receive a custom 2-page Executive resume, a 4-hour Interview Skills Workshop, and lifetime job coaching and placement assistance on our PM Talent Bench© with companies and non-profits just like those mentioned!

Your Call to Action!

If you’re a Veteran, General Schedule Employee, Executive, or Contractor, and you desire a meaningful, lucrative career in the CIVDIV after your military service, project management is the answer for many of you!

Additionally, you may well be able to receive this life-changing professional training at low or no-cost to you!

There are many funding sources you may be eligible for such as: Workforce Central; USAF COOL; GI Bill/Tuition Assistance through your local nationally and regionally accredited City University of Seattle; or scholarships through PMI’s Educational Foundation!

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn how to earn a lucrative living doing meaningful work as a Project Manager!

Contact Mike Hoal today at mike@vets2pm.com to find out how!

Note: We will also be available to provide informational workshops to local PMI Chapter leadership to show them how to use our proven, effective method of carrying out PMI’s mission of reaching out to the military community to develop Veteran Chapter members.
