Project Management in our Nation's Capital!

The Situation…

OK, Manassas, VA isn't actually in our Nation's capital, but it is close to Washington, D.C. and many DOD components (in mileage at least!), home to several PMI Chapters, and home to numerous project management opportunities for the transitioning Service Members, Veterans, and Retirees (“Veterans”) in this community.

Right now, there are over 8,602 open project management jobs and 3 PMI Chapters (PMI Washington DC, PMI West Virginia Ohio Valley, and PMI Central Virginia Chapter) to support professional development of active and transitioning military Members, Veterans, and Retirees (“Veterans”) Project Managers.

Companies such as AINS, American Systems, Balfour Beatty, BAH, Carfax, Graviton, HP, Kolb Electric, Novant Health, Teel Construction, Unisys, Visa, XO Communications, and others are seeking thousands of experienced, PMP-qualified project managers, with starting annual salaries averaging about $92,000.00 USD and ranging from $65K-$120K USD!

Vets2PM will be holding its Project Management Professional (PMP®) Boot Camp Program at the Manassas Holiday Inn Express & Suites 27 through 31 March 2017 to help Veterans do just that!

During our week-long Project Management Professional (PMP®) Boot Camp Program, we will show Veterans how to turn their military experience, knowledge, skills, and talents into commercially-viable, highly-valuable project management experience! This will allow them to complete their PMI PMP applications, enhance their resumes and LinkedIn profiles, and produce solid, shiny soundbites for their project management interviews.

Additionally, we will train them how to use the PMBOK® Guide to manage civilian projects and pass the PMP®/CAPM® exam on it; all while using examples parallel between the military and civilian project environments and live hands-on table-top exercises!

Furthermore, each Veteran will receive a custom 2-page Executive resume, a 4-hour Interview Skills Workshop, and lifetime job coaching and placement assistance on our PM Talent Bench© with companies and non-profits just like those mentioned!
